FSH & LH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone & Luteinizing Hormone)

Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing Hormone (LH) are both important hormones involved in reproductive function.

FSH stimulates the growth and development of ovarian follicles in women and spermatogenesis in men. LH triggers ovulation in women and stimulates the production of testosterone in men.

Low levels of FSH and LH may indicate issues with the pituitary gland or hypothalamus, leading to fertility problems or irregular menstrual cycles in women and reduced sperm production in men.

Elevated levels of FSH and LH can suggest conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in women or primary gonadal failure in both men and women.
