Lipase

Lipase is an enzyme produced by the pancreas that helps digest fats in the intestines.

Elevated levels of lipase may indicate pancreatic inflammation or damage, such as pancreatitis, while low levels are less common but may be seen in conditions affecting the pancreas or liver.
